• A prize-winning Nissan pick-up on the starting line of a murderous off-road rally
  • Weekly Rebelle Rally only for double female teams on the route of 2000 km
  • Nissan Navar's "Durability and Intelligence" subjected to a final test
  • The unique five-disc rear suspension in this segment guarantees a comfortable ride through dunes and sandy routes

The award-winning Nissan Navara is going for the Atlantic to take part in a rally in the home of pick-ups this month. It will be an exhausting field event, during which the "endurance and intelligence" of the car will be subjected to an extreme test.

Nissan Navara - current holder of the prestigious title of the International Pick-up of the Year - will start in Rebelle Rally. The weekly race played every year on a route of 2000 km is a test of driving and navigating skills through the deserts of California and Nevada.

The event is organized with a view to serial cars rather than specially prepared rally machines, it is open exclusively to two-person female teams and attracts players from around the world. Competition is a test of long-distance off-road driving skills and traditional navigation - ladies with only topographic maps and compasses must find hidden control points. The use of GPS devices, including smartphones, is strictly forbidden, and time limits force the participants to make quick decisions.

Rebelle Rally runs from October 12 to October 21, and the route for each day is revealed only a few hours before the start. 40 teams from 12 countries applying vehicles from different manufacturers applied for the second edition of the rally.

Nissan Navara is competed by two players from the company's branch in France. Karen Rayrolles and Florence Pham, representing the communications department and marketing department respectively, have decided to take on a unique challenge.

Karen said: "The durability and intelligence of Nissan Navar make it an excellent vehicle for the Rebelle Rally. We are delighted with the opportunity to participate in this amazing event. Everyone can follow our live activities at www.rebellerally.comand  www.nissan.fr . "

Karen and Florence have a pick-up with a double cab and fight for the Bone Stock Award. This is a category for teams using standard vehicles, where the only acceptable modification is a set of off-road tires.

The Navara Double Cab will be able to deal perfectly on dunes and sandy desert trails. As befits a "strong and intelligent" car, Navara combines off-road capability with the latest driver support technologies. Its strengths include sophistication, style, comfort and quality - just like the highly rated Nissan crossovers, the Juke, Qashqai and X-Trail models.

The five-disc rear suspension of the dual cab version is unique in this segment and provides exceptional driving experience without compromising on terrain or load capacity. The source of power is a 190-horsepower diesel engine with a dual turbocharging, characterized by high work culture. The 2.3-liter unit delivers excellent performance, including 450 Nm of maximum torque between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm. In a six-speed manual transmission, the official fuel consumption and CO 2 emissions in the combined cycle are respectively 6.3 l / 100 km and 167 g / km, which is the best result in this class of vehicles.

The extensive equipment of the car will certainly be useful during Rebelle Rally. The 360 ° intelligent camera system helps you safely maneuver at low speeds among tightly spaced obstacles, and the intelligent emergency braking system will effectively stop wild animals or other competitors' vehicles that may unexpectedly cut the way for the Nissan crew.

The uphill traction support system and exit control system will enable smooth and safe crossing of dunes. Due to strict rules of the rally, participants will not be allowed to switch on the NissanConnect multimedia system with seven-inch screen and satellite navigation under any circumstances.

Like all light commercial vehicles from Nissan, including the zero-emission electric van e-NV200, Navara is an extremely versatile vehicle. A wide range of optional accessories, accessories and custom bodyshells are available. All light commercial vehicles from Nissan are covered by the best-in-class manufacturer's warranty for the first 5 years or 160,000 km mileage.

Navara is the latest model in Nissan's long and successful history of pick-ups - over 80 years, the company has already offered 12 generations of such cars. Since 1934, Nissan has sold over 14 million pick-ups worldwide. Navara is not sold in North America, where Nissan offers three other pick-ups: Frontier, Titan and Titan XD.
